Adoption Month

In one of the finest performances of his career, Cary Grant stars alongside Irene Dunne in Penny Serenade (1941).  It’s a heartfelt drama that follows a couple as they reflect on their love story and struggles with infertility as they listen to a series of personal recordings, or "penny serenades," that document their journey. The film explores themes of love, loss, sacrifice, and the emotional complexities of family, ultimately focusing on the couple’s desire to adopt a child.
